Amputated Yet Whole: How Adversity Made Me Complete is a story of struggles, hope, and self-discovery. In this book, I recount how I was disowned by my parents because of my sexuality, lost my leg below the knee, survived an abusive relationship, lost my job, and lost my savings – all within a relatively short period of time. Such “amputations” almost cost me my life, but in the end I used these adversities to improve my life instead. As a Christian, I held fast to my faith and used my trust in God to help overcome what seemed insurmountable circumstances. Amputated Yet Whole is my witness to how physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual “amputations” actually led to a life where much more was gained rather than lost. It’s my hope my story will show you how to embrace adversity as a positive force to improve your life.
